Opening of Giurgiulesti IFP warehouses

On Thursday, July 19, 2018, the opening of the organic grain storage unit of “Prograin Organic”, within the Giurgiulesti International Free Port, took place.
“Prograin Organic” L.L.C. was founded on April 21, 2015, being the first certified company in the Republic of Moldova, which has invested more than 2 million Euros in the organic grain value chain. The warehouse infrastructure has been designed according to the latest requirements and equipped with modern, state-of-the-art equipment.
The cereals are stored in authorized premises ensuring compliance with the procedures for receiving, storing and delivering quality indices in accordance with EU legislation on the marketing and / or processing of products for human consumption, animal feed and industrial use.
Spartac Chilat, the co-founder of “Prograin Organic” L.L.C., mentioned that in June 2015, “Prograin Organic”  has put into operation the grain storage in Targu Mures, Floresti City, with a storage capacity of about 2700 m2 and today the grain storage in the Free Economic Zone of the Giurgiulesti International Port, with a storage capacity of 3250 m2, being the second largest in the country.
The modern line for sorting, calibrating and packaging agro-food products for human consumption as well as storage and processing facilities meet the requirements of the IFS and GMP + B3 standards. “Thus, the philosophy of the company is focused on the ecological principle, because of our concern for the environment,” said Spartac Chilat.
Ceremony for the launching of Cereal Terminal of “Prograin Organic” L.L.C. was attended by: Mr. Zdeněk Krejčí, Ambassador of the Czech Republic, Dirk Terwel, Prograin Organic Partner, Daniel Thompson, USAID Moldova, Silvia Bicenco, Need Moldova, Sergiu Harea, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, Representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Austria in Chisinau, AmCham Moldova, farmers’ partners, etc.
